Titus Women: Word of Life

Why “Titus” women? The Apostle Paul exhorts us in Titus 2:3-5

Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.

These gatherings are inspired by that call to the older and younger women in the body of Christ. Whether you are 22, 92, or somewhere in between, all of us are part of the body, all of us having something to learn, all of us have something to share. We invite each of you to come relish this good news:

The Word of God is the Word of Life!

At each of these gatherings, you will

  • Hear teaching and real-life application from several women in our congregation.
  • Engage in facilitated group time to discuss and apply God’s Word to our lives.
  • Fellowship and encourage over light dessert.
  • We hope you can attend one or all of these four stand-alone gatherings! To RSVP or if you have questions, email women@cpcissaquah.org.

For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
    ~ Isaiah 55:10-11

    January 17th Gathering

Have you ever had a sweet and intimate time with the Lord in the morning only to find yourself irritable, petty, selfish, and rude by lunchtime? Have you wondered how it is possible for the Words of Truth you connected with so profoundly evaporated without leaving any visible trace in your actions? For this next session of the Titus series the focus will be on applying the gospel to our lives in tangible ways. Along with hearing Biblical teaching and encouragement, you will get a chance to share your own lessons and stories as we work together to grow in our love for Jesus in the new year. We will hear from these sisters from our congregation: Sara Loudon, Ocieanna Fleiss, and Jude Tomei.
