Rev. Andrew Perkins

Rev. Andrew Perkins

As the second of five children, Andrew grew up primarily in the Seattle area, and is glad to call the green and gorgeous Pacific Northwest home once again. He is thankful that he was brought up in a Christian home where he tangibly experienced God’s faithfulness to his covenant. The Lord graciously used Andrew’s time in college (at University of Washington in Seattle) to deepen his grasp of Jesus’ atoning work and call to discipleship. In this time, Andrew also began to sense the Lord’s call toward vocational ministry. This discernment process has involved serving at multiple churches and ministries, and most recently, through attending Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, where he received a Master of Divinity degree. Andrew loves teaching God’s Word and encouraging people to believe in Jesus Christ, grow in knowledge and likeness of Him, and live as His people on His mission. He is humbled by the opportunity to serve CPC as a pastor.

Andrew is married to Jillian, who he met while rowing on Lake Sammamish during High School. They praise the Lord for their daughters Anita, Liesel, and Naomi. In addition to loving Christ and his Church, Andrew and Jillian have shared loves for outdoor activities and welcoming people into their home. A life verse for Andrew is Romans 12:1-2: “I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
