Educational Training in Nairobi Pt 2

Educational Training in Nairobi Pt 2

A second update from Nancy Price, Director:

One of the goals of For the Children’s Sake Foundation is to train up nationals in the countries where we work to offer teacher professional development courses. I am so happy to have Violet Malongo and David Acellam here this week beginning their training to do just that.

Violet teaches Christian education at Faith College of the Bible in Eldoret, Kenya. She is a woman with a great love for the Lord and Christian education. After I met her at a training I did for FCB, I invited her to attend my classes at Westminster Seminary in Kampala, where I learned just what a fine thinker she is. She is excited to share what she is learning with many schools in her area, and prays to eventually open a Christian teacher training college.

David is from Juba, South Sudan. He trained at university as an engineer, and has finished his seminary degree. He is currently a fulltime student taking the post-graduate certificate in Christian Education at the seminary, and is planning to open a Christian secondary school for his Final Project. His is a very sharp mind, and I am excited for his enthusiasm to train not only his own teachers but also those from other Christian schools in Juba, and other parts of South Sudan.
