Pastor Shiv Muthukumar comes from a Hindu family in India. Born to Tamil parents in Chennai, he was raised in New Delhi. Shiv was saved by the Lord Jesus while he was pursuing a graduate program in computer science at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, he moved to Seattle to work as a software engineer with Amazon.com. During this time, he sensed a call to Christian ministry – to make Christ known by teaching and preaching the Bible. Shiv attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School near Chicago where he receive the Master of Divinity degree. Shiv is married to Namhui Kim (pronounced Naam-Hee), who is from South Korea and grew up in the church. They are blessed with their son, Samuel Yohan. Together they enjoy traveling and watching meaningful movies. A key verse for Shiv is: “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen” (Ephesians 3:20-21).
